CLIMBONG WALL INSTRUCTOR (CWI) TRAINING

Avertical World is a provider of Mountain Training’s Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI) qualification. This nationally recognised qualification is the mainstay for those taking people indoor climbing in the UK. It is useful whether working professionally or as a volunteer through local groups or in university clubs. Indeed, all staff at Avertical World undertake this qualification as part of their training.

The syllabus is heavily focused towards taking people roped climbing safely. However it also covers the use of bouldering walls and teaching basic movement skills. Additionally, leadership  skills and adaptability to differing groups feature highly.

Our courses are run by experienced indoor climbing professionals regularly involved with the delivery of sessions within the CWI remit. This unique insight and experience brings a relevancy to CWI courses and equips candidates for working life in a modern day wall.

We run courses throughout the year for both assessment and training. As a vibrant climbing wall, running a variety of instructed sessions, we can also help in the consolidation phase of your journey.
